The California Coastal Trial is an on going project to path a trail that stretches from Oregon, through California, and ending in Mexico. So far, the California Coastal Trial’s emblem has been placed along 100 miles of the coast. Those include: Los Angeles, San Diego, our own San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Mendocino, Sonoma, Humboldt, San Francisco, and Orange County. This word visualization, from Wordle.net, is from the homepage of the California’s Coastal Trail website, found at Coastwalk.org.
This is a great alternative story form as you can tell which words were used most on the homepage, looking at the size of the words. Not surprisingly, “beach” is the biggest word, shortly followed by “coastal” and “trail.” Readers don’t necessarily need to read the homepage in order to get a jist of what the page mostly talks about.
